"These WALKERS are too slow.."

".. to be any real threat. You'd have to be an idiot to get killed by them!"

 This HAD to be a dig at The Walking Dead/Fear The Walking Dead with the slow moving Z's that SOMEHOW seem to be to over-take active people armed to the teeth with weapons and in open spaces, and yet STILL manage to get eaten alive where they stand. lol.

 Loved it.

Even had a slight dig at daryl last season with the collector guy where he mentions that GRRM had a dirty guy with a crossbow try to help him.

Yea TWD has more stupid deaths, especially since they show zombies moving slowly and grunting but suddenly they appear like ninjas an are biting them.

reply

Yeah I love that reference last season!

That's what annoys me about TWD and FTWD, the sudden Ninja attacks, even though they otherwise have them being so slow and loud.

Hate it when they have a horde slowly shuffling toward a person or group, who are fit and have ample weapons as well as free space and time to escape, but so often they will have them be overcome so easily.

The most recent I can think of is in FEAR Ep 8, with the two Men chasing Nick, later we see them killing lots of Z's, and suddenly the guys gets distracted, and despite the horde of Z's being multiple feet ahead of him and them having machine guns, he manages to get himself taken over by these slow moving vermin?

They mentioned Daryl last season in the Collector episode. They said that a "dirty guy with a crossbow" had tried to save George RR Martin

Wow, I was just about to create the same thread topic until I saw yours. I was raving to those die hard Walking Dead fans of which I was one..and said how the zombies in Z Nation were fiercer aggressive and moved at lightening speed...NOW they are exceedingly sloooooooow.

WTF? why ruin a key detail which separates your show from another?

what Jordie?

reply

All the zombies in this show are a bit different, you have to have realized that by now. It seems to have something to do with where they are, their environment, etc. I'm sure we'll be seeing more superfast zombies in upcoming episodes.

reply

They arent changing the zombies, most zombies are still the same. Its just the different zombies they encounter in different parts of the country where theyve been affected differently.

In the nuclear power plant the zombies were radioactive, in the pharmaceutical plant there were zombies that were fast and zombies which were having sex after getting hold of some viagra. Plant zombies, sonic boom zombies?, whole bunch of other types.

reply

Yeah exactly! I really love that they have expanded on their own Zombie-verse by having so many 'sub-species' and really giving them all personality traits and idiosyncrasies that make them new and different, so it doesn't get boring. It also adds to the idea that these were infact human, so not just completely mindless perhaps.

They are actually keeping up with the universe. ALL zombies in Z Nation are fast when they turn. Their brain goes into overdrive. Then the longer they are dead, the slower they get.

As for the zombies in 303, postman said that he killed everyone on day one of the apocalypse. So they have been dead for about 3 years. They would be slow as hell.

They havent eaten so, it's easy to understand they're slower then the others

Just came here to say the same thing! I had to laugh out loud the second I heard that line. :D

This 3rd season has started very powerfully. The first episode was simply awesome and one can really feel how the writers and creators seem to care about their show. I used to be a TWD fan till they kicked Darabont out. It's only been downhill after that.
There seemed to be no alternative and now, I'm so happy for this refreshing show that seems to love its fans.
Cudos to everyone and keep the good stuff coming.
