Inuit Grandma That Citizen Z Meets...

Is played by Darlene McCarty, a long time friend of my boyfriend's family. Her daughter and his sister grew up together and are best friends. My boyfriend and I have been together over 20 years so his family and friends are my family and friends too, and we call Darlene "Grandma" since she's kind of like a grandmother to all of us! It was so cool seeing her on TV last night! She didn't have any lines but sat there all stoic smoking a pipe. Lol. She said it's so neat that they picked her to play the part of the Inuit grandma.

Darlene made that whole scene. The flat affect Quik speech of the grand daughter, Citizen Z discovery the grandparents have been there the whole time ...

But, the pipe scene was funky, a deep bend stem big bowl pipe tripping off of the nite sky lights.

Tuff scene! My compliments you all!

I assume she will be the comic relief of the group at Nothern lights. 

Well, comic relief can be good. I think she did a great job with just body language. It's very weird, (in a good way!), to see her on TV and then again in real life when we're picking up or dropping off her grandkids to and from school or just around at family gatherings. I hope she auditions for other stuff if any other show or movie gets made in Spokane. :)

She was so cute-funny! Was very good for that part and I hope she enjoyed the experience. I agree with you, it would be nice to see her in other parts and being in a show like this is a good way to have the right people see you and want you in their shows.

Thanks for sharing that bit of background info about her life!
