WTF just happened?! SPOILERS

Why do most TV shows act cocky and set up a bunch of cliffhangers that could potentially not get resolved? Why not just resolve your stories just in case you don't get renewed? This show came damn near close to being cancelled, and I'm glad it got renewed, because if this season was the last one, I would have been pissed the hell off. But still, knowing the show will come back next year, I'm pissed off they concluded this season the way it did.

Murphy and Warren are bleeding out from a shared bullet to the chest, Addy tackles The Man off the top of the mountain, Lucy jumps after Addy like an idiot, 5K jumps after Lucy as if he thinks he can fly like the crows that helped him, and the aircraft that came to help/foil The Man pops out a few ?laser? guns from its hull and shoots at Doc, 10K, Sun Mei and Red. WTF?!

That aircraft will have an energy tractor beam and the people that went over the cliff will be grabbed in mid air.

Did they establish that tech in the Area 51 episode?

What happened to the guards in the mountain base?

Why did the paratroopers get wiped out on the tunnel?

Why did Addy toss her electro mace?

Tractor beam? I don't think so, not in the Area 51 episode. I did see a body of water, and they did make a plot point about 5K being raised by crows in the first two episodes of this season. I'm assuming Addy and The Man fell into the water like Grand Theft Auto IV, and lived. 5K probably ended up becoming like Birdman if he actually grew wings, and caught Lucy on her way down.

Guards in the Mountain Base? Just wondering around, I guess, being terrible at their jobs, considering seven people manged to get INTO the mountain undetected.

Paratroopers wiped out in tunnel? I thought it was mentioned that the people of Zona are dying, and some are turning against each other. Some want the vaccine for themselves, and the others specifically want to get the vaccine specifically for the people who live on Zona. Either that or everyone is speculating that the other is going to steal the vaccine from one another. I have to re watch to remember what they said.

Addy tossing her mace? I assumed the weight of it on her back was tiring her, and she couldn't keep climbing unless she ditched some heavy weight.

Who said the show is coming back next season? Due to the terrible ratings that this season got they still could decide to cancel it contract or not.

This show never fails to bite off more than it can chew!

Somewhere along the line, it was decreed that all dramatic TV shows with an ongoing plot must end every season on a cliffhanger or at the very least, some sort of twist. The writers get taken out back and shot if they don't leave some plot threads hanging.

Why not just resolve your stories just in case you don't get renewed?

Because they don't actually care about the fans. They care more about their season finale looking "cool".

You do realize that unless the Sci-Fi Channel execs tell the production team that next season will definitely be the last, they will end it on another cliffhanger, right?

They have to be told that it's the last season before even a single frame of film is shot. Anything less and another season finale cliffhanger is guaranteed.

But still, knowing the show will come back next year, I'm pissed off they concluded this season the way it did.

Welcome to the club. I've been hating cliffhanger finales for years.
