Fat Wolf looks more African American than Native American.
Glenn Stanton, the actor playing Toshaway's son in Season 2, looks NOTHING like a Native American. Zahn McClarnon, although half white, makes a very convincing Comanche as Toshaway, but Stanton's features and skin-tone are all wrong.
Every time I saw him in the role, it threw me out of the excellent period-accurate mood the series had maintained until his appearance. Likely Stanton has 1/1000th Native blood or some similar miniscule quotient, which gives him the Hollywood seal of approval for Native roles, but I can think of dozens of actors of many skin colors who have played Natives more convincingly.
