I did the quick math, too, during the first episode and was a bit surprised that we're supposed to buy that Pierce's Brosnan's character is an octogenarian. It wasn't that big a deal at first, but once Eli started getting into quick-draws, and leading a posse on a hard ride, I'm finding it pretty hard to accept now.

The flashbacks started in 1849 and was so confused how 60 looking year old Brosnan can pass as 80. I mean I loved The Irishman but did you see De Niro beat up that guy as a 70 something? He looked and moved old despite the cgi, he was slow, uncoordinated, hunched over like an old man. Maybe a hard active life keeps your physique and reflexes better than a rich urban actor, but Brosnan facially still looked too young.
