Ratting has picked up more public awareness and law enforcement intervention over the past three years. Some guy in San Diego got prison time for ratting some 200 women.

In my memory there's been similar movies to this voyeur effect over the past fifteen years. Of course the earlier ones depended upon the old-fashioned tiny camera or cameras, which still exist. But the ratting cyber hacking voyeurism took it to a new technological level.

TWISTED OBSESSION (1996) Corey Feldman stars as a nerd geek who is obsessed with
successful, high glamour model, Stacey. He secretly
enters her house and plants a lipstick camera in the
ceiling to spy on her.

VIDEO VOYEUR: THE SUSAN WILSON STORY (2002)
Supposedly based on a true story. Actress Angie Harmon
stars as a hot-looking housewife who catches the
unwanted attention of a contractor/repairman who lives
in the same neighborhood. Called upon to do some house
repair, he secretly plants tiny video cameras all over
to spy on Harmon.

ALL ALONE WITH HER (2009) I didn't see this one, only the trailer. Seems to be
a similar plot. Some dude enters a beautiful woman's
residence and plants tiny cameras all over the place.

Over the decades I may have come across other stories and movies as such. It's not rocket science although technological and electronic expertise are needed. Eavesdropping by electronic bugging has been around since the end of WWII. The invention of the micro-transistor and the tiny video camera all made video surveillance possible.
