Successful Women can't be Happy?

I found this plot disturbing, too. I was cheering for her when she got the promotion, but then she threw it away for this man she knew practically nothing about. She was smart, funny, and capable and he was a big zero. He probably had little income, too, as he was working as a volunteer. Apparently, she thought dancing the bomba, or whatever, was going to be enough for her. Hallmark movies are anti-feminist much of the time.

He volunteered his time - for Unicef, for clean water, helping neighbors in a hurricane. He had a high paying stressful job as an air traffic controller. He gave up his marriage due to a job. I would choose him over any highly paid powerful exec in a New York minute! He's got his priorities in the right order now, but he had to learn it the hard way. He's no loser. Her mother is though.
