...that Kevin Bacon's character didn't hear the kids driving through the fields with sirens blaring? Just how far did he supposedly drag that body?
They didnt put the sirens on till they were pretty far away from the copse, plus he was running in the opposite direction.

How far do you think he dragged that body??? It was out in the middle of nowhere, why not drive right up to where you are going to dump it? He would have easily heard them start it...
I didnt think it was that far, but not accessible by car.

It looked to be in a copse of trees. The ground was covered with grass and possibly full of all sorts of things (including great big holes) to get a car stuck on or in. There might be landfill that had rotted out and you'd drive your car straight into it. Embarrassing.
Driving a car right up to where you plant a corpse, leaving tyre marks, and possibly getting stuck, seems to me a tad foolhardy.
