I understand that the basic premise is two juvenile delinquents stole a policeman's car, and the cop goes out to hunt them down.
But is the film done in a way where the cop is the "bad guy," even though the kids are the thiefs? Like "All we did was steal a police car. Why is this evil bad cop chasing poor little ol' us for no reason."

There is a lot more going on than a good ole cop who's car was stolen by two young thieves. The cop has a valid reason for trying to hunt them down.
Yes, I just saw it the other day, and the cop definitely has reason to pursue them! And the iys were "fairly" naive and young....not quite juvenile delinquents (yet)
