could the female droid think for herself?
or was she programmed to be the way she was? i thought obiwan said something about droids not being able to think, possibly this was invented in between aotc and this movie. about 13 years.
shareStar Wars droids are sentient beings. They are programmed a certain way, but they all have different characters. We never met a droid which behaves exactly the same, which would be a sign of being programmed. 3PO does not change much of his behavior after getting purged. Also they definitely fear death and memory loss.
