Too much SW too soon. This latest movie came just months after the disappointing the Last Jedi. SW movies are no longer an event that can be counted on to do well regardless of reviews and quality.

While I somewhat agree with video and the fact that “kids” don’t get into it as much as Marvel...

Look at the DORK characters they’ve inserted.

What kid wants to be Kylo Ren when the dude is an uncharismatic and UGLY motherfucker?

Ohhhh but he’s an ex-Marine! Like kids fucking care?

Captain Phasma is a woman who never even showed her fucking face.

Don’t you think that would have been a good idea so kids don’t think she’s a DUDE with a f@ggy voice?

And Rey?

All of a sudden she knows how to yield a lightsaber and defeat a trained Sith?

This story arc misses about TWO whole movies for there to be any audience affinity for the character and her path to become a Jedi.

I don’t mind the original cast dying...but they never had one fucking scene together before Carrie died.

That was fucking stupid.

Do I care about who’s left?

No.

The Rebellion is down to a dozen people who fit into the Falcon, for fuck’s sake.

Poe and Finn have less charisma than Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, for fuck’s sake.

What could I POSSIBLY have or care to look forward to?

What the fuck is this story’s END game?

An “up for grabs” for the First Order in an all out “last man standing” conflict with the Knights of Ren?

SW had never before seen SFX in 1977. Not anymore.

The Empire represented the Nazis - not Soviets.

Bad stories and character development are the main problems. They're also not offering anything new. Just nostalgia-driven storytelling. Destroying the original characters was a huge mistake, too. Personally, I don't want any standalone movies with OT characters either. Old Republic Jedi Sith Wars with brand new characters. Hire some TV and internet scifi writers and story developers since they're doing great work.

He's right that episode 9 will die at the box office, but prolonging its release will just make people angry who might want to see it. It's better to undo as much of Johnson's hatchet job as possible. Bring back Luke and Snoke.
