How Would You Fix Star Wars If You Owned It?

By some wonderful miracle, you have the money to buy Lucasfilm from Disney. How would you regain the trust of fans and revitalize the franchise?

My ideas:
*I would immediately fire Kennedy and her underlings.
*Cancel all movie/TV productions.
*Lucasarts would have two heads, one creative (Filoni) and one business(?)
*Reestablish the Lucas' EU
*Release the theatrical original trilogy on blueray, 3d, 4d and DVD
*Redo the sequel trilogy featuring Luke running the Jedi Order w/Mara and his adult son, Ben & the Solo children. Han(Ford) and hologram Leia(CGI) as cameos (another poster's great idea). New Republic is government w/Thrawn and Sith as new threat.
*Standalones could cover the Jedi/Sith wars, establish the first Jedi, first Sith and Mandolorian Wars eras.
*Allow Lucas to be creative consultant to help move movies forward w/new ideas & visuals w/ Zahn & Filoni.

I put an end to Star Wars period. It needs to die a painful death already.

Then I would officially deem the OT as well all of Disney films non-canon and I do my best to ban from existence. The Prequels that George Lucas are the only thing that matter.

The prequels are awful , let me guess, your a child of the 90s?

Get people on board based on their past efforts, experience and suitability instead of diversity hires and quotas.

not make another star wars movie in about 20 years.

If I owned the rights, I would do a remake and combine all of the movies into one. Instead of taking place in space, I would have it take place on Earth around 1300 A.D. The hero of the story would be a modern day, wise-cracking supermarket employee who was transported back in time. Like Luke, he also would have lost a hand in a battle but would have a chainsaw attached now. With that and a trusty double-barrel shotgun, he'd be a unrivaled killer of undead creatures that threaten to destroy humanity. I think a good name for him would be Ashley J Williams. There you have it: Star Wars fixed!

I'd probably give it a rest for awhile and disown everything but the original trilogy and the novels of the 1990s.

Eventually I would commission a film based on Timothy Zahn's trilogy starring a different cast (but I would find a way to sneak Mark Hammil in with a cameo).

I'd basically launch an animated series that loosely adapted Heir to the Empire, then pick up the films with their full grown children and all that drama. I'd abandon the episode titling and ahearance to trilogy structure all together. Anakin's story is done.

So just remake the originals over and over again? Sorry but that is already being done.

Any sane person would just turn the best written SWEU stories into movies.
