I chose to see SHERLOCK GNOMES rather than this

I wanted to be part of the 100% boycott, but I figured that I should watch Solo at least ONCE, to speak from experience. But I already did, last week, and I decided Disney were not going to have repeat viewings nor money from me on that movie, so I decided to see something else entirely.

Deadpool 2 and Avengers were no-go's, since I already saw them twice each, and so my choices were Show Dogs (deemed CRAP by RT and IMDb) and a British animation combining garden gnomes and super sleuths, suited to little children only. So I saw that movie instead.

And now there's what to see on Friday in the UK. Oh, the annoyance of getting value for money out of my cinema's unlimited card scheme, and the bane of lots of free time!

It's OK, about what you'd expect from an animated movie intended for children. Good characters, a couple of twists, a fiendish villain, comic humour and the main Holmes and Watson characters are excellently voiced. I particularly liked when the climax took place at a London landmark, one that I had personally visited for real only a few years before for the first time. I'd say 6-7/10 for a rating.
