Kathleen Kennedy, the BEST PRODUCER EVER...

...stuck in a rut with Star Wars.

This video explains all, and shows us the dozens of excellent movies we all recall from our childhoods: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3c2QPt9_P0

The video also says that now she has been made Head of Lucasfilm, she is stuck in a position and only able to produce Star Wars movies, but she wants out of it, so she is making herself unpopular in the position. Some of you may think that she should be PROUD to be THE sole producer of Star Wars, but she probably doesn't.

In any case, don't forget that without her, most of our childhood movies would be diminished or non-existent.

XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Good joke.

reply

I'm not joking. Who else would produce them?

reply

Literally any other producer. Or Frank Marshall, the guy she fucked to get where she is currently, and co-produced nearly all those movies. She's a fucking producer, not a person with creative input. Not the person who actually crafted the movies. I thought this post was sarcasm at first, now I'm just depressed that another idiot is on this forum.

reply

I agree, the person whose video I posted the link above to IS deluded in his opinions, I was just spouting his.

Any producer. She was a BLOODY SECRETARY that was lucky enough to join Spielberg. And you can see the difference when she has flown alone.

You wanna have a woman who really deserves a big place in the history of Star Wars? Marcia Lucas. She had talent. Hat off to that woman. But Kathleen Kennedy? C'mon!! She's garbage.

reply

I always think of this scene from Glengarry Glen Ross whenever Kathleen Kennedy is mentioned!

And yes, Marcia Lucas is a forgotten hero of Star Wars. Such a shame she never worked in Hollywood again.

reply

Marcia Lucas saved A New Hope, it's unfortunate she hasn't done anything movie-related since the OT.

reply

Yeap. An amazing piece of work in the original trilogy. Wonderful editing and narrative. A real pity she abandoned.

Kind of strange how great movie-editors are out of business (thinking in McTiernan too, right now).

reply

Fair enough. But the damage she did to Star Wars speaks for itself, even if she's happy to stay in her position. It's just that most people who saw the many popular movies listed in that video will remember her name in their opening titles, it just stands out. If all she did was very little (finance) then I suppose it's down to her determination to get top crew billing, next to the director and get the power that way.

I have to admit, I don't know that much about her. I think I (and the video poster I referenced) should read up on her.
