Disney said the reason why The Last Jedi toys didn't sell is because they released them too early. They made sure to release Solo toys closer to the Solo film debut because fans are dying to buy them, but only if they're released closer to the movie's opening date.
Talk about being in denial!

my local store put TLJ merch on clearance and didn't order Solo merch. I do still see them selling the Star Wars lego sets though.
