Great Scenery/CGI, Great Lando, Mediocre Solo, Whiney Chewbacca, Generic Plot & Bad Guy
Pretty much sums up the movie.
Even with all this, I didn't even detect any SJW/PC agenda stuff annoyance going on. The female 'phantasma' droid made joke remarks of it though but nothing that made you irk or cringe unlike in TFW/TLJ. Seems the side/spin-off Star War movies do less of that while the main ones do more.
I can't believe Donald Glover played such a believable Lando. The voice was near perfection until he gets really excited (action) then it sort of breaks character a bit. Solo on the other hand was a mess and I couldn't connect with him as Solo besides his iconic gun and probably 1-2 liners that would be a Solo liner but acted in a way that isn't Solo. Chewbacca was Chewbacca but with a lot more wookie whining among wookies.
I was hoping to see at least a Darth Maul attack instead of him just showing off his dual saber (looks way older here than in Phantom Menace and how did he magically survive getting bisected in half by Obi-Wan Kenobi?) in hologram form. Other than that, Crimson Dawn boss Dryden Vos was generic, plain, and a bore.
