The negativity surrounding this movie is unwarranted

It's a good movie, even a great one. The script is tight, the characters likeable, the action well crafted. Like, what more do people want? It seems like a lot of let's say opinionated people decided this would be bad before seeing it. And that opinion has been parroted so much that it's hard to counter it without being called a shill or contrarian.

In my opinion this movie is a lot like Rogue One except the characters and pacing are far superior. A lot of the criticism i see is targeted at Kathleen Kennedy for her "SJW pandering" which if you actually look at how it's done in the film is tongue in cheek if anything. The feminist robot gets killed and Lando's pansexuality is shown as little more than his desire for said robot. Other than that there are some women characters and some black people, woopdeedoo the movie is broadening its appeal why do people care so much?

the SJW stuff is not the biggest problem. Its that it was a boring story. How was this movies pacing good? And great characters? What movie did you watch?

The pacing was great, as in it flowed and hit all the right beats. What was boring about it, what exactly do you want? That train scene was exciting as hell, as was the kessel run and just about everything else. And the characters were all interesting, had their own motivations that conflicted well with each other. Everyone's so picky these days like a hoards of wannabe film critics. Go start a blog it YouTube and whine about everything that's what all the kids do these days.

So praising this movie like you do is allowed. But when people say the opposite they should 'go start a blog and whine' great.

There was way too much talking in this movie. And no fun dialog either. All just exposition. I didn't care for Solo's girlfriend because he was going to end up with Leia anyway. She disappears in the movie, comes back, no explanation. Just the ''I've done some shit''. Furthermore she then adds nothing to the story anymore. It has no focus. First the movie was about getting money to save her, 10 mins in, they meet and nothing is wrong. From then on what is the story? They need to steal shit for this guy? Meh. Boring.
He then decides to do good and become a rebel of sorts (which is also illogical given his character).

I could go on and on about the flaws of this movie, but given the way you respond to me, you are not willing to actually listen or engage in a conversation. People these days aren't picky. Star Wars deserves better than this boring movie and people should lash out against Lucasfilm for creating this. They are lazy cashgrabbers that sink the franchise.
