<1m Opening in China -Sub 10m Weekend

Ouch.

I was coming here to make a Post about this....

first let me say....This was entirely expected....China does not like SW and each of the last 3 films have made significantly less....

I often check a China Box office forum and literally since TLJ ended in run in China, there has been "Over/Under 20 Million dollars for Solos entire China run" threads and "over/Under 10 days In theaters before its Pulled" threads ...

Point being everyone expected this.....But I must admit, I still chuckled out loud when I saw just how badly it did...

lol The Chinese Audience has absolutely rejected The Star Wars franchise in an almost unprecedented way....

Luckily for Disney, They werent expecting much from China....They spend almost no money promoting it there....

The Force Awakens ONLY made a little over 100 Million in China, So ChIna is not a MUST for SW films...

this would be a Much DIRE situation if the SW franchise were really dependent on China Like The Transformers franchise or The Fast and Furious Franchise....

those Franchises and films are directly responsible for making over 1 Billion dollars because they have such HUGE runs in China....

If The Furious or Transformers franchise started having declines like this and Audiences in China rejected the franchises, It would be a CRISIS....they make between 300 to 400 Million per film in CHina and have directly resulted in the last Transformers 3 and 4 and Furious 8 passing 1 Billion....

The Star Wars franchise just never got started in China so there cant be too much of a disappointment that Its basically DEAD in China...

still though...Stunning to see A Franchise be A world Wide Phenom yet be complete rejected by China...

lol Solo should fail to make 20 Million total in China and may be out of theaters within 8 days!

Luckily Disney got a HUGE domestic and WW global total coming this weekend though
