thoughts? Imo they're doing the ruining if not messing with established characters again instead of making someone new be some pansexual folk. I'm guessing no one will really mind since it's Lando but imagine if they made Solo pansexual... the up in arms.

They've run out of ideas in terms of adventure and such, so it's all about the melodrama now, adding twists and such to established characters and themes... TV shows do this all the time...
I thought they'd make Rey lesbian, but that would probably be too on the nose... Instead they just made her force-worthy without having a Jedi heritage... a cute twist on an established theme...
It was inevitable, as shows enter their latter seasons the writers tend to reach for whatever is topical to stand out... If it were the 60s there would be a hippie Skywalker/Solo, if it was the 80s a yuppie one... etc...
Lando's not even being changed or made pansexual. It was just a comment made by the filmmakers that will have no bearing on any actual movies or books.

Yes. They chose Lando rather than Solo among the established OT characters to screw around with because they know people wouldn't stand for this b.s. if they tried it with Han. Lando while iconic isn't beloved to the degree that Han Solo is outside of the smaller black Star Wars fanbase. Its funny that Star Wars had a single iconic (overtly)straight black male character of the past near 40 years and Di$ney's hack hirelings felt compelled to "correct" that. F*ck you Di$ney!
