Multiple reviews printed in US Today indicate the movie is slow or boring in the beginning. Danny Glover is good in it. Action in latter part of the movie is good. Also predictable.

The movie was basically a rush job since Howard wanted to finish it on time even though he reshot most of the film after the original directors were fired. That would effect quality. I guess the rumors of a bad movie were accurate.

Update:

More multiple reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Consensus again is it's slow to start, and Glover is good.

How would Glover not be good? He is a young yet highly seasoned actor who is basically in his prime and having fun with his career. He has a lot of experience with comedy, drama, and playing dynamic characters.

It's not like he's some new actor coming out of nowhere. The guy is a major talent who does a LOT.
