Who knows. But the fact is Chewie is gonna be around well after the sequel trilogy. Well unless he gets killed.

Didn't his action figure from the original trilogy say, "A 200 year old Wookie?" Something said that, anyway.

To be fair the life span of wookies being super long is well known so it’s not some cheap excuse for Kathleen Kennedy to throw chewbacca in every film in a 200 year span
