I saw it reported as a series, as in TV series, which would be related to both Rian's trilogy and current lore.
So, we'll have to see what it's going to be.
Nevermind my previous post, the other article says "series of films." The title made it sound like a TV series.
shareWhy are they dumb?
shareDid you see the last season of GoT? The first one not to have any of the books to go on?
I love GoT but it had some of the worst writing I've seen in a major TV show, plot contrivances and Holywood cliche's abound.
Like when Jaime was charging at Drogon and Bronn pushed him out of the way at the last second and said "I saved you, dummy. That's how we're gonna win. Not fighting what we hate, saving what we love."
shareYes, exactly!
Good God that was so awful.
And then next episode they're just laughing about it! 'A dragon! Well that just about tips... the scales!'. Was what they might as well have said.
And the thing is the old GoT would have subverted (in a good way) the cliche. Jamie would have seen his chance, he's brave, he's rash, he's arrogant - he thinks he can end it all here and now, he picks up the lance, he charges at Drogo... and Drogo melts his face off then eats him. That would have been perfect. Spectacular. A fitting end to a flawed character, 'realistic' (within the confines of the show) but yet surprising. You know, GoT style.
Instead we get the biggest Holywood cliche of them all "Noooooooo, get dooooowwwnnnn".
So disappointing.
