Blue Valentine is a much better Love story

And they didn't even need to show people fcking for real.

I LOVE Gaspar Noe more than I can explain in words but I feel like he fell very VERY flat with this movie. Honestly he should have just titled it, "Sex" because that's about all this movie is.

It's hard to find characters and stories interesting when there was a sex scene every 5-10 minutes. I like how the story was told and the use of non-linear transitions and what not was well executed but everything else just seemed off about this movie.

After seeing films like Irreversible and Enter the Void it felt like Noe took SEVERAL steps back in his directorial style and even decided to rip off his own work with the "internal fcking cum shot". I feel like any criticism that he received over his previous films about camera work must have gotten to him because this feels like a completely different director. More like a Lars Von Trier film to me.

Overall it was watchable but it was very hard to sit through, and not because of the sex scenes.
