Great movie but the ending very depressing so did Electra kill her self or what?

It's unclear, deliberately. He screwed up by fathering a child with the neighbor and she left. She may dead, or not. Intended or not, it's his punishment for his conduct. He lost her and realizes that he can't go back and undo what he did.

Although it might open to interpretation and you explanation is beautiful and makes a lot of sense , I think that the she died due the last flashback where Electra said that if he will ever hurt her she will kill herself because she won't be able to cope with the pain.
Murphy burst into tears because he finally placed this memory that back then seemed meaningless but now turns out to be a bitter realization of what probably happened.

It is very confusing,to me it makes it seems like she did die.
she could have or she could have not.

In one scene she said she didn't want to die, that she wanted to leave

in one scene when they are walking at what looked like a cemetery, she says that if they ever break up she would leave.
Maybe she really dissapeared from everyone she knew.
She did said that she didn't like her past. Maybe she was starting new?

But of course the worst thing that could happen for Murphy was for her to die.
So maybe she did? what do you think?

almost at the end she says she rather suicide than live with pain.
which she obviously was going thru.

I interpret as he got that she did died.

Somewhere I have to express my feelings this story is not going out of my head speaking frankly i was thinking to see this movie for only sex secens 🥴 and I decided to watch but after reading small brief of this film which was only 2 lines it got me struck that once again a tragedic story 😳 but even then I forced my self to see this movie for only sex scenes but later found that they were graphics 🙃 but instead of getting hooked to hot scenes I got hooked to story and I would say that I am equally 😞 with the ending of the film but the story is good .many would say that there is no story in this film but u have agree that the present generation is somewhat like this in this world everyone does not have happy ending some people's life may get fucked up like the film 😞.yeah so the ending is very emotional 😭 and u can't get over it but I have a doubt 🧐 at last few minutes of the film before he goes for bathing there is call scene and I don't what the hell they speak in which language bcz after that only he regrets for Electra. Somewhere in a article I read that the director of this movie have explained the ending in a interview he said that love is like a long journey and physically attraction and memories won't last forever but if they lasts ur goona regret why I can't forget the memories and director says that in the end Murphy accepts his mistake and he can't Undo it so he acceptes fatherhood and he feels sorry for not being a good father to his children so in order to keep the love for Electra he decides to accept his 18yr old baby .This words were Said by the director but no where I found abt the Electra and what happened to her 😢 I hope she did not committed suicide or she left her past life bcz even before meeting Murpy her life was not in stable but after they met eachother whole life have changed for them.Before the end credit come I think I heard a line correct me if I am wrong that if I die you start loving again said by Electra .
