Aquarius S2 premiere will be 2 hours long

The S2 seasons premiere is Thursday June 16th, 9-11pm.

It is 2 hours long and will have no commercials.

This is seriously the show that NBC just loves to experiment with.

In what’s believed to be an unprecedented launch strategy for broadcast television, NBC will premiere the second season season of its Charles Manson-themed drama “Aquarius” with a two-hour, commercial-free episode.

NBC said Tuesday that the Thursday, June 16 premiere of “Aquarius” will air from 9 to 11 p.m. with no breaks for commercials or network promos. The only stoppage will be a one-minute local news break during the show’s second hour.

It seems that way. Can't wait.

Wohoo! Alright. Been waiting. *taps foot* I truly enjoy David's acting range, his character is excellent.

WTF?! So they're not going to release the entire season at once like they did last year? The show was doing so well online which was the reason it got renewed in the first place.

reply

Where did it say the entire season? Just that the opening ep will be two hours with no commercial interruptions which Is awesome!!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing. I kind of like it when Networks experiment.

I don't know if they've said whether or not the entire season will be available to binge watch online...I think it really hurt their ratings last year so I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't offer it this time around. I'm surprised the show went back to Thursday after being banished to Saturdays near the end of the first season. I also think it's strange the premiere will be commercial-free because the show was so low-rated near the end of the first season run that you think NBC would be trying to make every dime off of it that they could via commercials.

It's been so long I've practically forgotten everything! Anyway, I'm glad it's finally coming back, and I'm excited about its 2 hour, commercial-free premiere.
