Stop blaming Kristin for Shafe being crack head.

This isn't his first go round with drugs. He did them in Vietnam before he met her. When he got off the plane from being deployed when he first met her and was "sick", those were withdrawals from using not being "sick". That's what he was going to tell her but backed out. Kristin was the perfect little housewife last season so you didn't have a good reason to have a problem with her, but now that she's speaking her mind, you vultures couldn't wait to come down on her. Funny how Brian is doing drugs of by his own choice but
somehow it's Kristin's fault.

I was waiting for Kritsin to be blamed for Shafe's drug use. Damn that troublemaker :\

I too thought Brian was going to tell Kristin why he was "sick" but chickened out.

Any man who blames anybody else for his weaknesses is not much of a man. You and you alone are accountable for your own actions. Having said that, Shafe is a cut above the norm and will get past this momentary weakness.

Getting licked by junk, whatever it is, turns his head away from his job, makes him a liar, so he can't perform in his marriage, which at this point is strained by race relations among other growing issues, so eventually his fix will become his mistress, world, and the end to it all, all he's worked so hard to attain. And for what? Sadly he took the challenge to get 411 for his job, but taking the next and then the next, like the other poster said, was his choice. I guess everyone thinks they can handle it, just won't do it a lot, but it's an addiction, and all addictions need escalation. No matter what one is addicted to. An addiction is something you will do despite the consequences.

Not that he's going to put that on a job application, especially for the police, but why would he go UC with his history? That was reckless and irresponsible. Being UC is dangerous enough, but he should have turned that down.

reply

Haven't seen anyone saying he's using because of her.

He was stuck in a position where he had to shoot up in front of the dealer to show he was on the level. That's what started him using. Not his wife.

But she's a bitch who is being totally unfair and unreasonable and she is driving him away.

reply

Um, that is still too harsh! That said, driving a junkie away is no big loss, she's better off without.

reply

He took a hit to keep his cover. Lol nice try. Brian used while he was in Vietnam before meeting Kristin. I guess her being a "bitch" made him dabble in drugs before she even met him too.

reply

He's not a crackhead, he's a junkie.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.

How about stop putting spoilers in thread titles?

GFW

reply

How about avoiding message boards if you're not up to speed on the program?

reply

Only bullies and brats and attention-seeking losers put Spoilers in thread titles.

GFW

Many people put spoilers in their titles not knowing, thinking or understanding about spoilers. Plus how do you post about a show without talking about the show? It's almost funny if you think about it. It only takes one time looking at these boards to know you're going to read spoilers, so don't come to the board until you've seen the show. Some people actually read these boards for the spoilers. I do sometimes.

reply

It really isn't that hard.

For instance let's try to get this dickhead's thought across to bring people in to read. How could you say what he said without giving away the plot?

I'd say something like "Shafe's wife is taking the heat for WHAT?"

Then in the body you use the TOOLS above the comment box to protect the plot saying from the get-go your comment contains spoilers. Don't read unless you don't care. If you do STOP now. Not hard. It's respecting others. This jerk, an other jerks like him, just want attention. And they just got it!

This is the main reason I don't, and TONS of others, have STOPPED coming to IMDb until after they've seen a movie or series.

I've been guilty of putting spoilers in the title and I rarely use the spoiler function in the body of the post. However I don't post about a show until it's been shown in all time zones and/or it's been shown online. I've seen some people complain about spoilers in regard to a show that is 2 years old. There have to be reasonable parameters about postings. In regard to this particular OP, as far I can remember it's not even part of the show. It's the person's opinion.

reply

Le Sigh.

Thanks for the advice and for convincing me to not post comments until the series is over. That's hard because sometimes one can get good feedback that's helpful and it can be fun when excited about something to get in there and share opinions.

It is an opinion best I can tell and it's "to" someone who was blaming Kristen. Also, one doesn't know how old any of these jokers are in here, you know? Any yack with an electronic gadget, computer, tablet, etc with a member account can post from anywhere anytime.

Thanks for the chat. Enjoy the series. Like how its details are superb. David has this same persona pretty much as in EXCELLENT but CRAZY WILD Califonication. He's just wicked smart, funny, and great fun to watch. He gets to into his roles. And we all know who he is and yet that's okay? That's how good he is.

You can use the spoiler thingy that way if the person doesn't click on it it won't show

reply

Don't come on message board when you haven't seen the episodes if you don't want to be spoiled. It's really very easy.

reply

Not technically a spoiler because he wasn't doing crack, thus was not a crackhead.

I dislike this storyline. It's so predictable and we don't get to see enough of Kristin's POV to justify it eating up as much screentime as it has so it just feels like unnecessary drama at the expense of Kristin's likeability and no doubt for the benefit of Brian's judging by the way fans normally react to these sorts of situations in fiction.
