shows like this and "Hannibal"

show that NBC can make good stuff...maybe it also shows they just can't sustain it using a weird amalgamation of old and new business models. Watching S1 on Netflix and, like Hannibal, you're kinda blown away this was shown on NBC (though I guess there were two cuts for S1). Anyway I hope it gets a proper finale, I'll be trying to watch the latest eps when the air to help with the ratings but ugh...saturday at 8 is like hospice-care for a show.

Have you ever watched Mr Robot on Fox? The last show Rami Malek was shown nude and you could see his behind:) I'd say regular stations have come a long way.

reply

Mr Robot is on Fox? I thought it was on USA Network.

reply

I think you're right it is on USA. But what I'm saying is that they are showing nudity on the regular stations now not just places like HBO, Showtime etc.

USA is not a "regular" station...it's cable. NBC is a broadcast station. :)

reply

Really? I always thought that to be a regular station. I thought it was the pay stations that could get away with things like that.

It was unprecedented for a show as violent as Hannibal to be on the big 3 - Aquarius is way tamer. But I'm afraid it's going the same way as Hannibal. I thought for sure Hannibal would be picked up by Netflix. Channels like USA, TNT, FX, TBS and Spike are basic cable channels and over the past several years they have started pushing the envelope with content, language, and nudity. They said F and MF and showed Cuba Gooding nude in the OJ movie.

I don't really know what you mean by "regular," but USA is a basic cable station, a pay station.

NBC is a broadcast network.
