I thought this show got cancelled

Hadn't heard anything for a long time & then it shows up on my TV schedule

reply

I'm happy we now have a TV summer season, but I sort of wish we knew when these shows started. They seem to start at different times. I knew Aquarius was going to start, but I just found out that Wayward Pines has aired 4 episodes so I have to catch up. If you don't watch a channel all the time or spend a lot of time on social media it's easy to miss a summer TV show.

It wasn't on tonight for some reason....ch.4 NBC...some spartan champions or something.....2+ hrs.!!

bloody hell this was a Thur nothing on t.v. guilty pleasure! What happened?

It hasn't been on here for 3 weeks. I'll watch it tomorrow online.

reply

It wasn't on because they aired the Republican National Convention. It airs next week at 9 PM.

reply

That's not what aired here at that time some other show did.

In our area the Convention was on every station at 10. So all the shows at that time were not on.

reply

Good. I didn't miss it. 😂

reply

I just read where it is returning on Aug 27th. I thought they cancelled it myself before concluding Season 2. It is finishing up the rest of the season on Saturday nights...That usually means the graveyard..

reply

Yes, it doesn't look good for season 3 of Aquarius. I don't think it's their fault - between the conventions and the Olympics and now moving to Saturdays, that isn't good.

reply

No, its very unlikely that it will come back for a third season. To bad, its a really interesting show.

reply

Dead. But what were they going to do beyond the Tate Labianca murders anyway, have Hodiak solve them or something? Why not, they already had him in the Bobby Kennedy assassination, may as well torture history some more. Anyway, academic, it's toast.

reply

I wish it would go on but I guess they are not happy with the ratings. So far this is when it will come back. As McNamara notes, the remainder of Season 2 will begin airing on Aug. 27.

reply

If it's supposed to air Aug 27th, it isn't doing it here in Philly. There is a football game on at that time.

reply

I found out its on Cozi TV here. I never even knew they had an alternative station.

reply

Yeah, that's also Senior Citizen night (that'd be me). Whoever you are, whatever they advertise on the show, GO OUT AND BUY SOME!!! Then tweet-blog-facebook everywhere how much you LOVE the Beer or Cars or Feminine Products they advertise! Email the company! Or just visit their website and click on every mention of whatever they advertised on the show.

I'm just kidding (sort of) about all that, but sadly, just liking a show has less to do with its success that the sponsors' happiness.
I like this show -- it is different from anything in a while. So I hope they let it play out, and doesn't end with a thud like so many these days. Glad it's back, looking forward to "the rest" of the 2016 season.

reply

Kidding or no-- you're right. It's the shows with the big audience participation and interest that get the attention from the studios (read:renewals and primo time slots!)

I've seen it done before, shows brought back from the brink of death because of audience support. What could it hurt?
