In first season he was really good, a Joe Friday type, but in second season he lost a lot of weight in his face and his character is more fox Mulder in the 60s.

Mentioned it on another post but he's just now being himself its kind of a mix between Mulder and Hank Moody.

I don't see that at all. He is given the words and in MHO he really gets it all across as a different type of cop.

I agree but don't mind since I love Fox Mulder

I just watch the show for David Duchovny, and I love that he's so funny and is in law enforcement like Mulder! I keep rewinding the TV to hear his lines because they make me laugh, lol! I'm happy to see him on a show! I wish he'd be Mulder on The X-Files again, but I love seeing him here!

He reminded me of his X Files character Fox Mulder in the season 2 finale when he was confronting the guy who took photos.
