Pretty enjoyable film
Observant, patient, well-mannered and occasionally prone to outlandish behavior, Hello, My Name is Doris is not unlike its titular protagonist. Adapted from the Laura Terruso’s 2011 short film Doris & the Intern, Hello, My Name is Doris centers on the emotionally-distraught Doris (Field) in the process of a late-period transition in her unstable, unremarkable life. Following the death of her dear old mother, the 60-something homebody doesn’t quite know what to make of her life. Having lived in the same house her whole life, she never quite found out how she wanted to live. In the decades she spent away from healthy growth, she’s remained in a constant state of arrested development: http://www.cutprintfilm.com/reviews/hello-name-doris/
