Umm - no - not worth seeing

Pretty crappy editing throughout the whole film - one moment the truck is swerving this way, the next moment it's not swerving at all - there's a lot of that type of 'lazy' editing in this film. Dunno if they ran out of budget or simply had to cut scenes for time (the film is already quite long).

Lawrance Fishburne was good, but alas - he barely got any screen time due to a plot twist - lol

Liam Neeson looks bored and tired in this film. In the last scene of the film, he had this weird grin on his film and I began to wonder if he high on something, or suffering from a stroke - it seemed so off. The girl acted pretty well, but the focus wasn't on her.

There is a lot of unrealistic and lame stuff in this film. A lot of unrealistic stuff regarding trucks - how did they get them upright after they fell? Why didn't they show the tech used for that? Let me guess, it's because they had 2 other trucks helping. And the final fight with the baddie.... it was lame. Half the time, I wasn't sure if they were hugging or actually fighting. They clearly didn't hire a decent fight choreographer.

And the story.... I think it can be argued that the first bits of the film were all right. There were hints of a mystery to be solved and many questions. The movie got lamer as it progressed. One hour in, the answers to the mystery were uncovered and we were left with lame action scenes.

At the end of the day, I give this film a 3/10. Don't waste your time.

Thanks for the heads up but i could already tell by the name and the cover that it's a pile of shit.

I think you should edit to add a spoiler alert. I was reading your post to get an opinion on whether to watch the movie and you kinda dropped some big spoilers there

Kinda figured that about Lawrence Fishburne. The trailer seemed to market him the same way they did for Steven Seagal in Executive Decision.

Sounds like a dumb movie, but I'm a sucker for Liam Neeson films, as he's one of the only few masculine actors left in Hollywood these days. Might watch it if I'm in the right kind of "turn off your brain" mood.

Thanks for the heads-up, though.

I dunno, man. I feel like Liam Neeson was made for drama films but was somehow shoehorned into action roles. He's got the height, but his build is not that of an action film star. I'd say his age is beginning to seriously show in this film - and the action sequences are starting to seem similar to Robert Deniro's action sequence in the irishman.

This became quite apparent in The Marksman, where he looked kind of gaunt and a little too lanky for the role. The dark clothing he wore in the Taken series helped hide his build, much like Steven Seagal's wardrobe in the early part of his career.

You think Mads Mikkelsen would have been a better pick for the role? Or is this one of those movies that just kind of falls flat regardless?

There are too many problems with this film -- Liam Neeson is not the main problem. You can read the most recent user reviews on imdb for more info (on IMDB, nearly all of the initial user reviews are from paid studio shills - you get the harsh truth only by looking at the most recent user reviews).

Oh, ouch. A real shame because it seemed like it could have been a decent action flick like Black Dog.

Thx for the heads-up

Yeah, I love Liam Neeson but this must be the worst movie I've seen him in. Waste of time really. Too bad because it was an interesting idea for a movie.

reply

Truly terrible but I had a lot of good laughs. I love the way they just cut around all the impossible winching scenes.

With Liam Neeson, nothing else can be expected these days. If he is the lead the is going to suck for sure.
