Why does a season have to take such a long break? I've seen Once Upon A Time do this already every time they come to the second half of their seasons, they leave a three month gap open. We have to wait two and a half months for the same season of Gotham to resume and it's only eight more episodes. What does Fox have to get busy with for the next two months that it has to make us feel like we're waiting for the next season?
Not sure what network shows the March Madness stuff, but that is a factor during the winter, but they still could have gotten in another 4-5 episodes before that happens.
I found this very odd as they had a mid-season finale back in December then came back showed 4 episodes and now we have a winter finale and 2.5 month wait for the last 8 episodes, very strange.
At least Once Upon a Time they show 11 episodes, take a 3 month break and show the other 11, but Gotham was really broken up this season and I have no clue why.
Gotham won't be over until late June which is very late for shows to run. Most networks will have started their summer programming at that point.
The spacing of the episodes seems to say that neither Fox or the creator of the shows knows what the February they are doing. I can't see Gotham being around for more than 2 more seasons. It's already a mess and the plot is an even bigger mess that gets messier with every passing episode.
Pretty Little Liars have taken the piss in that respect. An EIGHT MONTH wait for part 2 of Season 7. Ended last August, comes back in April. Ridiculous.
