How do you like Jerome?

One thing I enjoy about this show is how they come up with their original interpretations of major characters. They've done a great job with Penguin and Riddler, I almost forget who they are supposed to be sometimes.

I really liked how they were subtle with Jerome at first, now they seem to have gone all out Joker which I'm not really into. This latest iteration seems more like the finished product rather than someone on a journey, as Penguin/Selena/Riddler seem to be. They've gone all out looneytoons and cartoony with Jerome which like the comics, animated series and early movies, does not sync well with the rest of the show.

Just my observation, I'm wondering how everyone else likes it?

I like Jerome as Joker. HIs initial introduction for killing his mother was PERFECT, and I would have been satisfied if that's all we got of him. I admit that I expected a little more in Rise of the Villains, but his return in Mad City was great. And the interaction between him and Bruce, especially in the house of mirrors was very Batman/Joker-ish, and shows a glimpse of the two's future. So yes, I think they did a good job. They even managed to throw in the Joker getting his face cut off arc from the comics.

I like Jerome. They did speed up his Joker character up though, I agree. All in all, he is a really good Joker, which is more than I can say for Leto, who was only okay. Oswald has practically been in full Penguin mode (besides being fat) since the 2nd half of season 1. Riddler is supposed to go full mode with the green suit and all in the next episode. Ivy... they sped her up as well as far as age and manipulating people. She just can't control plants yet.

Leto did ok for what they made him do. I really don't think it was his fault, but what the writers and director made him do. They basically turned Joker into a lovesick dog. While Joker DOES care about Harley, he loves her like a pet, or like a child loves their favorite toy, not necessarily like a person, but in Suicide Squad, they made Harley his everything.

Penguin and Riddler are pretty accurate, and while I don't really have a problem with Penguin being gay, he's a little TOO obsessed with Nygma, that's my only complaint for him. The same with Nygma, he's a little too love sick about his girlfriends.

Ivy, she doesn't really feel like Ivy. They reinvented her character too much. And the age jump thing is actually kind of creepy.

I agree

I'm glad that Jerome was brought back from the dead. He's been one of the most interesting characters every time he's been on screen ever since his first appearance in season one!!!
