How much does it cost IMDB to keep the boards running?

Server storage plus bandwidth.
Has to add up, I suppose, but its nothing to a company the size of Amazon.
The irony is, the message boards and the interactivity they provide are the sites greatest feature. Without them, there will be a massive drop in usage. Everyone will migrate to another platform, this place will be like MySpace.

Depends on how many moderators it takes to keep up with banning the trolls and the new accounts they create. IMDB decided it wasn't worth the cost.
