Just saw the film tonight - It was OK.

I'm a big fan of both Mikkelsen and Yen and really enjoyed their performances. The cgi was great and the story was solid.

My only complaints are

1) No gore. Very sad that we're never going to see people's limbs being chopped off or guts blasted through. Takes away the immersion from the fighting.

2) There were too many characters and many were left very undeveloped. Whittaker's character was a waste, in my opinion.

It's weird that TFA is interesting through the film and has a fairly lame ending, where R1 is lame most of the way through but has a fantastic ending...

Since the first cantina scene...

That is highly subjective: I found TFA generic, rehash-y and shockingly dull from the first shot, and it dumbs down per act - only the very last scene with Luke had some magic and adventure spirit.

RO gets better and better per act until it really brings new elements.

I agree with this completely.

Really? I wonder if you have ever seen a Star wars film besides Disney SW...

I nearly walked out, it was the most boring of films. Truly the worst of the series. Avoid!

I wonder how many DID walk out and missed that final space battle.

Finally someone i can agree with. Everyone keeps going on about how awesome and amazing this movie was! But when i went to watch it, the crap just dragged on. I thought Yen was going to have more awesome fight scenes, but nope just the cool one close in the beginning that didn't last very long. then a little at the climax. But Boring and not worth the 12.95 i paid to watch it, in my opinion.
