TMDb - The IMDb Alternative
A good alternative to IMDb after it shuts down its message boards is TMDb (The Movie Database). It has similar functionality to IMDb.

Agreed.
Think this is the most likely successor in the long term. It's already been running for years, and looks like it's got the best infrastructure in place - pretty much mimicking imdb in terms of being able to search for any film and having a board attached to it.
You can also rate films in much the same way as here, and import all your imdb ratings...
