Has this Turned into a Comedy?

Zombies flying around in the wind. I have been in several hurricanes, and humans don't fly around like rag dolls.

Strand fighting a zombie while Lucia listens to music, a few feet away, totally oblivious to the world.

Plus Morgan wants to go back to Virgina, and wants to drive him in the SWAT truck. Where do they get fuel for that thing? Where is she getting the bullets to reload her machineguns?

Poor, poor writing.

The funniest thing was the zombies flying away in the wind during the opening sequence but the trees weren't moving an inch.

I thought the same thing when I saw the beginning. I thought it was parodying itself. At least then it wouldn't have been so embarrassing. Sadly it was serious.

Since the term "Jumped the Shark" is so over used, maybe people can start asking when a show "Flew the Zombie". It will be a phrase that explains a show that jumped the shark so long ago, but remained on the air regardless, to turn into something so sad and pathetic, it's beyond words

My first thought after seeing that intro with the zombies flying all over the place was if the director and producers couldn't pull off that scene without looking as bad as it did then just don't do it at all. It just takes you right out of the show. And it got much worse during the 'Zombie-nado' scene with the zombie actors clearly hurling themselves against the S.W.A.T. truck (a highly localized downpour of walkers?!?). Again, look at the dailies to see if it works and if not put it on the editing room floor.

So now, rather than another cookie-cutter bad guy enemy, an approaching hurricane is the danger element of the season and they let us see how bad it is right off the bat by flinging walkers around in a scene that looks to have been written by a middle school fan fiction contest winner. If that's the case, here's another one for them: have one of the survivors find a time-traveling DeLorean, go back to the pilot episode, choose another less stupid family, then hope the show turns interesting.

Yeah the hurricane zombies was pretty lame. I guess it's just an attempt to do something "new and refreshing".

This is absolutely horrible. People don't go flying around in windstorms, much less thunderstorms. What would cause that is a Tornado, and you'd have to be pretty close to it.

- In the show, there's no tornado.
- There aren't tornados in the Southwest United States, and if there are--they are very rare there.
- The trees are not moving AT ALL, signifying that it is not windy.

So why exactly are the walkers getting pulled up into the sky? Bad writing, that's what.

Again: The Trees aren't MOVING at all. Incredibly sloppy cinematography.

They have tornadoes in the Austin area. Hurricanes can make landfall in Galveston, but they'd never keep their strength long enough to hit Austin as a hurricane. If they have moved east since the stadium burned, they could be close enough to get hit.

Yeah, it's generally poor in every aspect.

The kid is now mute, even when her life is in danger. OK...fucking ridiculous.
I see their sound editor got the suppressed gun effect for Goldeneye on the N64. They could've spent 1 minute on YouTube finding out what a real suppressed gun sounds like. The fight with the oblivious Lucia. Those speakers would have had to be at ear damaging levels not to realize what was going on.

And Morgan in general being annoying.

Sad to see this is where we're at with Z Nation style stuff going on (that is not tongue in cheek) compared o the excellent S3.

I'm smelling a Sharknado crossover movie....
