Personally, I don't give a damn about where the show takes place. I'm from Romania, living in Belgium and I also speak english and spanish. I don't mind reading subtitles anyway so it could even take place in freakin' Japan.
I just hope the show will get better because it's a big disappointment so far...

The subtitles dont bother me. It's the fact that they marketed this show as taking place in LA, a metropolitan city, somewhere completely different from the backwoods of artlanta, but now we basically have TWD 2.0 but ppl speaking Spanish. I get that stories can turn and locations change but they literally spent maybe 3 episodes in LA and that was the end of it. I feel cheated.

So, you are the problem, not the show. YOU don't like Mexican people (that's a logical conclusion) and YOU are too lazy to read the subtitles.
I am from Europe and I don't think that any European has a problem with subtitles. You should appreciate the show (or a movie) for what it is. I can watch a movie from my country or a movie from any foreign country with subtitles as long as that movie is good. After a while you don't even notice the subs.
My point: you should change, not the show.

LA isn't going to save it.

My suggestion is that they kill the cast in the season finale, get new writers and start over in LA with a new cast.
