Both seem very inquisitive, and Nick in particular never does or listens to what Madeline tells him. Wouldn't they have already been on the internet before the ZA looking up as much as they could regarding their father and his death? The fact that he crossed over the divider into oncoming traffic, likely resulting in major injuries or deaths for others, would have certainly been part of the report and aroused further suspicion of all the details surrounding the incident.
Who knows. Did Madison specifically say? If she said it was due to a car accident, that could be just what she said because it sounds better, and not what actually happened, or would be in the report.
People normally leave suicide notes in their cars so in case they get into an accident everyone will think it was a suicide? I think the wife would have known her husband's writing and at this point what would be the purpose of introducing a murder into the picture?
Not sure if you're referring to me, but I'm not inferring there was any kind of murder.
I'm saying that even if he did commit suicide due to a car accident, then the police, likely the first on the scene, would have found the suicide note and it would have certainly been part of their report.
I do remember that conversation now. And yes it was a *beep* thing to do. The police would have definitely been the first on the scene then, and would have found the suicide note. Which would have been part of their report.
Not all details in a police report get into media reports. In fact media tends to not report suicide. This is why Americans don't know that suicide by gun happens more often than homicide by gun. People do commit suicide with cars, but it's not always reported. Nowadays for head-on crashes like this, media might speculate it was cell phone distraction.
If he crossed the divider, like Madison said he did, and the impact was enough to kill him, then it more than likely severely injured or killed other people. Just the fact alone that he crossed the divider into oncoming traffic is quite out of the norm, and would have been part of the accident report.
The news may or may not have reported that a possible motive for this was that there was a suicide note found. After all, this impacted other families no doubt, not just his.
But even if they did not disclose the suicide note, the details of the accident, particularly the part of him crossing the divider, would have aroused more interest and suspicion if read. Especially Nick, being very inquisitive. Madison herself said he has never listed to her or done what she has told him to do. So it's not at all out of the question he would have looked into the details of his father's death more closely. He's not a sheep that just takes Mommy's word for everything, and never has been.
Actually it would have been reported as a car accident until an official autopsy is done. So the news papers would have said he died in a car accident. The official coroner's report would only be given to family members, law enforcement and the hospital/doctors.
I thought he committed suicide by intentionally causing a car wreck?
As far as researching it - they could have gone down and bought the death certificate but do teenage kids really think of that? Your mom tells you he died in an accident why would you not just believe her?
such things are not reported, also to protect the remaining family. at least only when you cannot hide them - of course if someone burns his house, they will write it.
