It didn't make sense. Ofelia and Alicia were together in a room/hallway on a higher floor of the hotel. Then they got separated. So, at some later point
we saw that Ofelia was outside at the first floor of some other building.

I thought Ofelia just disappeared and the next time they showed her was when she arrived at the restaurant where her fiancé proposed to her.

I assume she walked down the stairs. Alicia was in the shower. Before that, they talked and Ofelia was talking about how they were dead or something. She decided to go off on her own before the hotel was even attacked by the walkers in my opinion. She didn't want to be with Madison's group. She purposely went off on her own.
shareOfelia didn't know about any of the hotel walkers. When they got there, there were no signs of life at the hotel, well except the guy they found in the shower that had strangled himself. But they thought it was secure. The walkers didn't show up until after Ofelia took the truck. She had no intention of going back to the hotel.
