I am glad this show is different enough to the walking dead

This show does have stuff in it thats obvious leeching from the walking dead like the characters covering themselves in zombie blood a hell of alot to move around but id say the tone was different enough to not be a full on copy, these ain't zombie hunters like you get in TWD where life is just going out and stabbing walkers, these are people who still have hope and innocence and the new world is still starting out.

Part of me was against the idea of this spin off purely because i thought it was gonna basically be the same show but with different characters as an excuse to make more money but i feel it is different enough to be interesting

I do get the impression though that some want the show to be more like TWD to the point where they need characters that you fear could die at any time or basically zombie fights going round killing walkers in new and different ways and fear the walking dead doesn't really play on that and thats why i like it if honest.

If this were a poll, I believe you would be in the minority, my friend. Probably somewhere along the lines of 20/80. And 20% being gracious at that.

I like FTWD better than TWD. TWD has good two seasons in the start. But since then, it just repeated itself season after season. I have to fast forward watching and don't understand the hype.

Oh please how different ?!
Its pretty much the same..Season starts >> group finds shelter >> group encounter with armed evil gangs cuz apparently everyone turns evil in the ZA >> by the season's end the shelter gets ran over by a herd of zombies or burned down or whatever>>REPEAT.

WHAT?! They have presented NOTHING new. Practically every scenario in FTWD was done on TWD only better. Like we were supposed to be surprised that Nick's "Refugee camp" was run by a bunch of psychos? Wrong! Already been done on TWD. I think this is why this show gets so much hate. It has ZERO originality. I actually thought they came up with something new when we thought whatshisface was immune but nope, just another lame ass trope. This is a show that 20 years from now I woulda have already completely forgot about and when something reminds me about I am going to think to myself, "WTF was I thinking watching that POS?" Before when something like that happened I had the excuse that I was a kid, now I have none.
