They relentlessly shoot to kill the entire group trying to cross back into the states and then take Nick and his girl hostage??

Makes no sense.

I really hope the first words out of the groups mouths when the show returns is, "Sorry, you guys were all covered in zombie guts, we thought you were one of them!"

nope, looks like the guys doing the shooting where right-wing militia types trying to keep everybody out the states or whats left of it.

Yep, they looked like our patriotic citizens acting as border patrol to secure our border from the murdering, rapist Mexicans. They only took Nick and his sweetie hostage because they realized he might actually be an American and she's kinda cute.
