Morally weird hotel people

what i didn't get was, why the guys that had their relatives killed during the wedding ceremony by these mexicans that worked in the hotel (they locked the doors after one of them turned), were so close with them from then to now.

and, given that background, why do they believe that they are in the position to morally judge travis' actions in any way?

Because theyre all messed up. All of a sudden hector was like best friends with Oscar and Andres when he was their hostage literally a couple of days ago.

Yes, I asked somewhat the same thing in another post. All of a sudden those two groups are besties when the hotel guests blamed the workers for their loved ones' deaths and they were at each others' throats when Madison's group arrived. Also, weren't they ready to toss the Bros out of the hotel with nothing? So, why is what Travis did so much worse? At least Travis had a reason for killing them. And the bride's mother attacked Strand and yet they didn't banish her like they were going to banish Travis. She's still locked up somewhere, right?
