The show cheated with the zombies at the Colonia.
The zombies at the Colonia were always shown to be about 100 at best when the bitten would be sent among them in their weird ritual I don't even think that much. But in the scene where they get loose there are suddenly hundreds of them especially as shown from above. The show really pulled a fast one with that.
