According to Robert Kirkman, Strand will be fiiiiine ;-)

He is a survivor. I think he finally decided to cut off from a losing position. Remember how this family cost him his boat?

Strand always thought of Madison's group as tag-alongs anyway. He might prefer the hotel setup better than driving around to who-knows-where.

reply

Well if he does survive i really hope they keep him in the show somehow. I really like his character. I just dont know what they would do. He would get his own spinoff journey in the hotel? Sounds kind of lame but i am sure they can make something work.

Strand is a man for himself. Why would he leave a place safe from walkers, with a comfy bed and food and electricity to scavenge with Madison and Travis? Who's a loose cannon in his opinion?

reply

Exactly. He's almost always been looking out for #1.

reply

I think you are right but i think he has been growing as a character. I think he has a soft spot for madison after all theyve been through.

reply

I would stay at the hotel. Why would I want to run around clueless with a woman who acts/speaks before thinking, a man with nothing to live for and a girl willing to follow those two.

reply

Personally, I think it was a combination of him taking a step back now that Travis has returned (I feel like there was a little crush budding) and the fact that he's still healing. He's in no position to be on the run. He's better off staying there and using his seducer ways to get what he wants.

Exactly. Plus, he is the kind of person that can hold the inhabitants together, help their behavior from deteriorating into a feud, or at the very least not make matter worse.

Just about better odds of surviving. Technically the hotel was safer, and filled with alcohol, food.
No Strand will be pretty fine at the hotel, don't forget that he knows how to maneuver people.
