So I haven't seen the film yet, but why has Dev Patel been nominated for Supporting Actor? Obviously him being submitted for that might give him a better chance of winnging an award (by avoiding Casey Affleck and Denzel Washington), but isn't the film all about him and his journey? If he isn't the 'leading character', who is?

Half the movie stars the younger version of Saroo played by Sunny Pawar. Dev Patel is proabably in a less than alf the movie

I agree....there used to be a special category for child actors...did they eliminate that? I think little Sunny was the true star and should be nominated
