Or at least funnier than it was. Trailer was pretty misleading, just a bit of a warning if you expect a comedy. Almost all of the funny moments was in the trailer, pretty dark film actually.
And yeah, I know that it isn't labeled as a comedy on imdb, but the trailer was pretty funny.
I found myself laughing more than acual comedies like 'Daddy's Home' (Will Ferrell), 'The Wedding Ringer' (Kevin Hart), or 'The Ridiculous 6' (Adam Sandler).
It's not a comedy but there are a lot of funny moments in Nicolas Cage's performance, maybe it's not for everyone I agree.
It was never funny and very unoriginal and violent (the last refuge of he film-maker without ideas)

From that Cage over-the-top scene I am expecting it to be a comedy -- but a DARK comedy. (But I haven't seen the trailer yet.)
