So will Kong fight a Mosasaur type creature in this new movie?

I saw in the new Kong Skull Island "secret map poster" a Mosasaur skull. Does this hint that Kong's rival (or at least one of them) in Kong: Skull Island a Mosasaur type creature?

I don't think it would make sense for Kong to fight a sea creature. i hope any sea creatures attack the landing party when they're in a boat in the sea or lake not Kong.

That was just a tease from their side, I am pretty sure no one except people involved into movie itself can answer your question.
But I doesn't need to be a Mososaur, on the second look it can look like Rodan,
but it will prolly end up being original monster.

Oh hell yea! Maybe one will even sink the ship from the beginning. Leaving the human characters trapped on the island! Hehehehehe...

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.

I did read set reports that the human characters fight a giant lake monster so I think this pretty much confirms what kind of creature will be facing off against.

Awesome! Was going to say, the creature better be a fresh water variety as it makes no sense for something so huge to just be chilling in the ocean. There would be no reason for it to hang around the island.

Also it is a good warm up to Godzilla because we will see how Kong will tackle a giant aquatic creature while being in a large body of water.

But Godzilla can walk on land and that's where he fights other creatures. I can't see how they could have Kong fighting a sea creature or even a lake creature.

and it's so unecessary anyway as they can have some other giant land creature he can fight.
