Could the Mutos be in this?

They said different craetures from the usual Kong Mythos will show up on the island.

Could a Muto appearance and fight with Kong be the first Godzilla tie in?

This should be a lost world and not a place with radiation infected mutants. and those muto's weren't very good either.

MUTOs were not mutated, they only needed big source of radiation to grow up.

I wouldn't mind, but I doubt it

I wouldn't care to see one, but I wouldn't be surprised if one is spotted somewhere, just to show this IS the same continuity as GODZILLA (2014).

What about the characters just stumbling across a decaying, old crysalis like the one the male muto hatched from? The audience would know what it is, but the characters wouldn't.

Monarch will be all over the movie, so that will be its tie in,
as for Mutos, wouldn't be cooler to see new monsters ?
Not only we've seen Mutos already, but they were pretty generic
monsters.

Exactly. they just wouldn't suit this movie either.

Egh, I highly doubt it.

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.
