Hope it's better than Godzilla reboot...

The Godzilla reboot was disappointing, other than Bryan Cranston & the final fight scene nothing else was interesting. Bland characters, boring action, boring dialogue-the movie would've been good if the characters were more fleshed out and the lead wasn't so dry.
I hope this movie is better with: better characters, better action, better storyline & just overall more fun to watch

I liked the 2014 reboot. Characters sucked but the direction and atmosphere and the finale left me satisfied. Now that being said, Kong: Skull Island looks so much fcking better. This is pure popcorn escapist entertainment. We got choppers knocked down by palm trees, SLJ and Goodman together, a machine gun mounted on a Triceratops skull. For a sec, I thought Nolan banished this type of stuff from summer blockbusters but I guess his powers are draining.

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.

I'm a huge fan of the 2014 Godzilla I thought Gareth Edwards did a Great job with his vision of Godzilla really liked the slow reveal and the dark more grounded tone. I think it's Great that this will be in the same Universe.

Slow reveal? That is the understatement of the decade.

That's pretty funny, Robo. I'll see this movie and want to enjoy it, but it looks very one-note & bland, not to mention clichéd. "Procedural", is that the word? The two biggest personalities of the film look pretty long-in-the-tooth for the action level I'd exp3ct in a film like this. Loki is loo5ks just like Brody in "Predators".

Hard for this movie to top Godzilla 2014. A combo of talented director and cinematographer really made it for me.

reply

So do I but it's set in the same universe as Godzilla 2014 and essentially it's a sequel to it so there is no effing hope for it.
